“Hey.” a vaguely familiar voice draws your attention, “How come you’re not racing today?”
You’re volunteering at an event’s finish line, collecting timing chips. You recognize this guy because both of you ride with the local bike club.
You look up from the timing chips and say. “Well, that’s a great question…”
You recognize the door the bike club rider opened. But do you have an answer ready (1 Peter 3:15)? And do you have the nerve to deliver it (Acts 9:27)?

In addition to the great ministry training opportunity listed above ("Training for the Finish"), registration for the International Christian Triathlon Network (ICTN) Camp/Retreat is now open, and the retreat is only one month away. This is the 4th year for the retreat, and it has been moved to Tuscon this year where the training will be amazing! I can't say enough about how much this camp/retreat blesses participants and can just about guarentee you will not be disappointed! For last year's summary, click here. The camp dates are January 23-25, so lock in those dates and get registered soon. Photo: '08 campers Scott Burkhardt, Chris Anderson, Carl & Laurie Abrams.

Endurance Sword Fighting
About a week ago my wife came down to my office and happened to notice the plastic ninja sword hanging on my bookshelves. She asked what it was doing there, and I told her that I was training to be an Endurance Master Swordsman.
FCA’s Mission, OUR Mission is: “To present to athletes and coaches, and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.” As you look at our mission, I want to highlight and remind us all of one point… we are a presenting ministry.

FCA Endurance had a major presence at the US’s largest inline marathon. Team FCA Endurance won the Non-profit Corporate Challenge at this year’s Northshore Inline Marathon in Duluth, MN on September 13th. The Team was captained by MN Teammate Brian Williams, and included Don Patton (FL), Jill Milbauer (MN), Jeff Milbauer (MN), Char Rotvold (MN), Lois Williams (MN), and Heather Sabin (MN). In addition to skating, the Team was able to gather for fellowship and prayer. Next year, other ministry events are in the works including an expo presence, pre-race prayer, and race service. In addition to the trophy plate and some great recognition, the race organization will make a gift back to our ministry. Praise God for a cool blessing!

Teammate Carl Rundell was blessed to share in the "Home Stretch" of the April Sharing the Victory Magazine. In the article, Carl states, "Knowing a lot about running doesn't make you a marathoner. The same is true in becoming a Christian." Thanks for your ministry Carl! The entire article can be downloaded below. Also for more information on FCA's magazine Sharing the Victory, click here. This magazine is available through subscription or as a gift to donors giving more than $50 a year to a FCA ministry.
